Xiangyin Gu, born and raised in Suzhou (China), is an artist based in London (United Kingdom). He is currently a PhD candidate at Royal College of Art, London. His interdisciplinary practice bridges writing and photography, with a particular focus on psychoanalytic explorations of memory, trauma, and intergenerational transmission. His work investigates the psychical spaces where temporality and history intersect, challenging conventional modes of representation. Gu’s long-term projects, Entangled Pasts and Eternal Return, explores alternative narratives of family history and collective memory.
Xiangyin Gu 生长于中国苏州，现为常驻英国伦敦的艺术家，目前是伦敦英国皇家艺术学院的博士候选人。他的跨学科实践连接写作与摄影，尤其关注以精神分析的方式探索记忆、创伤与代际传递。他的作品探究时间性与历史相交汇的心理空间，挑战传统的再现方式。他的长期项目《纠缠的过往》与《永恒轮回》探索家族史与集体记忆的另类叙事。
